Profile Settings

In the profile settings, everything not filled in upon registration is optional. However, you may want to add and adjust a few things for your benefit.

Basic Profile Settings:

• First and last names (optional): These are never display publicly and are not required. If you want your real names displayed publicly, you will have to deliberately include them in your classified ad.
• Nickname (optional): This is also optional, but it is recommended that you create a nickname so you can elect to display it publicly in place of your username. This will add an extra layer of security against anyone attempting to hack your account. Until you create a nickname, the username will be displayed in your profile and in your ads by default.
• Display name (required): When you first sign up, your username (which is also your login name) is displayed publicly. Once you create a nickname, you can then change this to display the nickname; it is highly recommended that you create a nickname and change the display name to your nickname for security purposes.
• Email (required): This is never displayed publicly. If you wish to display this publicly, you must deliberately included your email in your classified ads. You can also update your email, but an email is always required.
• Website (optional): If you fill in your website address, it will then display publicly in your profile.
• About me (optional): If you put any information in the about me section, it will then display publicly.
• Password (required): You may update your password anytime you wish. It is recommended that you change it to something that you can more easily remember, but not so simple that someone can figure it out. Creating a nickname and selecting it as your display name along with a good password will keep your account safe.
• Phone numbers (optional): If you fill in the phone numbers in your profile, they will then display publicly. However, you can also include phone numbers in your classified ads.

Total Privacy Option:

• Private Contact Form (always available): If you wish to keep all your contact information private, then do not place any in the profile sections. Buyers can still notify you by using the private  contact form next to each ad display page. This will then send a private and secure email directly from our server. The buyer will not see your email unless you reply to their request. It is not recommended that you make buyers rely entirely on this contact page, but it is an option if you prefer.
